Jiayu Chen

As Executive Director of Touchstone Capital Partners, he contributes to the firm’s investment strategy, project development, and cross-border partnership initiatives, supporting the growth of Touchstone’s global investment platform.

Coming from a family that helped lay the foundation of China’s passenger vehicle industry, Mr. Chen has played a significant role in expanding and modernizing the sector. Since 1989, he has invested in and founded numerous enterprises across Fujian, Shanghai, and other key regions in China, focusing on the passenger vehicle and bus manufacturing industry. Through these ventures, he helped develop a strong industrial ecosystem covering manufacturing, supply chains, and related services. Several of the bus manufacturing companies associated with his investments have become influential participants in the global bus industry.

In addition to manufacturing, Mr. Chen has expanded his investment activities into cultural tourism and integrated leisure developments. He has invested in a large-scale scenic resort project covering approximately 1,000,000 square meters (about 1,500 mu), integrating tourism, vacation facilities, parent-child education, interactive animal experiences, and water recreation. The project represents a comprehensive destination combining leisure, education, and tourism.
