Andy Hu

As Senior Executive Director of Touchstone Capital Partners, he supports the firm’s global investment platform in areas including project evaluation, institutional risk governance, and cross-border transaction execution, helping ensure disciplined investment processes and long-term value creation.

Mr. Hu possesses hybrid expertise combining financial institution risk management with real-sector investment execution. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with large industrial groups and financial institutions, contributing to investments in sectors such as mining, oil & gas, infrastructure, and international trade. He has been deeply involved in the implementation of large-scale PPP projects and complex cross-border transactions, providing integrated solutions covering project assessment, financial modeling, and risk control system architecture.

He has led project risk assessment and the formulation of risk control frameworks for numerous investment programs, with the cumulative scale of projects evaluated exceeding USD 1 billion. During his tenure in private equity fund management, he oversaw the full investment cycle including project sourcing, early-stage evaluation, investment decision support, post-investment monitoring, and portfolio company value enhancement. He also played a key role in optimizing organizational structures and operational management systems for investment platforms managing assets exceeding USD 8 billion.

Mr. Hu also participated in a major PPP infrastructure initiative exceeding USD 5 billion in partnership with a leading Malaysian conglomerate. In this project, he led early-stage financial modeling and feasibility analysis while coordinating communication between government authorities, corporate partners, and local stakeholders.

Currently, Mr. Hu operates at the intersection of industrial investment and global trade, particularly in mining, oil & gas, and energy-related sectors. He is responsible for guiding projects through the full investment lifecycle—from opportunity screening and due diligence to transaction execution and post-investment management—while simultaneously strengthening institutional risk management systems.
